We put the work into one thing, so we get it right.

Buying a dress online is harder than it should be. Sizes that don't match the chart. Photos that flatter the fabric more than the fit. A description that tells you everything except what you actually need to know.

So dresses are where we put the work — for Tuesdays and for weddings, for the office and for the night you'll be photographed in — and the accessories and jewellery we carry are there to finish them, not to fill a catalogue.

No half-stocked rails. Most of our hours go into the dresses, and the rest into the pieces that complete them.

Short runs

Small orders, often

We order in small quantities so we can drop a maker whose quality slips instead of selling through the stock.

Every dress carries the size chart for that dress, not one generic chart stretched across the whole shop.

A dress should fit the day, not the other way round.

We don't think you need a different wardrobe for every version of yourself. You need pieces that move between a weekday and a wedding without asking anything of you. That is the whole brief.

Measured by hand

We publish the numbers for every size in centimetres and inches, and the chart says whether they are of the body or of the dress, so you know what you are comparing against.

Chosen slowly

Fewer, better

We would rather carry twenty dresses we believe in than two hundred we have never seen. Everything here is a piece we would wear ourselves.

Beyond the dress

We give back

Everyone who works here genuinely loves this shop. We partner with local and international associations working to protect the planet we all share.

The beauty of a dress includes the thought behind how it reaches you.

We work with a small number of makers chosen for their skill, their standards and their willingness to improve. For most dresses we order close to demand rather than committing to volume, which keeps unsold stock — and waste — down. The ones that keep selling are the exception: those we buy in quantity, which is how we keep their price down.

We see responsible sourcing as an ongoing practice, not a finished claim. It asks for honesty and consistent progress rather than perfect promises.
